It would probably take 2 to 3 days to drive. Depending on how often you stop and if you drive through the night or not. I know that it takes 23 hours to make the drive from Rhode Island...and when my sister and her husband moved from RI to New Mexico it took them 3 days - with stops along the way. For a more definate answer mapquest it out.

Total Est. Time: 32 hours, 48 minutes Total Est. Distance: 2247.64 miles But that's not stopping :P I typed it into mapquest, heres the link: http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&un=m&cl=EN&ct=NA&rsres=1&1ffi=&1l=&1g=&1pl=&1v=&1n=&2ffi=&2l=&2g=&2pl=&2v=&2n=&1pn=&1a=&1c=&1s=az&1z=&2pn=&2a=&2c=orlando&2s=fl&2z=&r=f

If someone has a big van you could drive it comfortably in three days. You might even be able to see some of the sites along the way. You can rent a van also. One set rate with no mileage. Talk to Avis. I have done this a couple of times. There is also the train. It's not faster and it is more expensive, but it's an easier trip than doing all the driving and being shut in together in a van for hours at a time. It would be good to get sleepers. It's hard to sleep sitting up on the train. What ever you decide, the trip is worth it. I was there last Jan. and had a wonderful time. Hope you do too.
Answer 5 :
Your options are limited. Driving would be the best choice to avoid flying. Depending on what you plan to do on the road and would you want to visit other cities along the way, the driving trip can take a week or more. I have driven from California to Florida and from California to NYC. Both times took almost 5 days and I drove about 14 to16 hours per day stopping for lunch, dinner, and pit stops only The other option is by train. I understand it's a lot of fun too. You can make a couple of stops and visit some cities along the way before reaching Orlando. Have fun
Answer 6 :
Driving would be most cost effective but by train may be a bit more relaxing and more entertaining!
Answer 7 :
Unfortunately, the train is not a realistic option right now. There used to be a train that ran from Tucson to Orlando which would have been convenient, but the service from New Orleans on to Orlando is no longer running due to damage to the line during the hurricane. The train route from Tucson to Orlando now requires a couple of train changes and takes you through Chicago and Washington. It's takes longer than driving. You could take the bus for $99 per person or less. The travel time from Phoenix to Orlando would be 1d, 21h, 55m to a little over two days depending on the specific time you leave. See: http://www.greyhound.com/home.asp to check specific schedules and rates from any location in Arizona. Personally, given that flying isn't an option I would drive if there was enough time. The bus would be better if you have a limited time for the total trip.
Answer 8 :
Get on i10 and keep driving
Answer 9 :
You are about 32 - 33 hours away. You can either drive down, look in to a the Greyhound bus or look into the trains. Good luck
Answer 10 :
Not knowing where in AZ you are starting from but taking Phoenix as a starting point you are looking at close to 2300 miles. Where map quest gets there driving times is beyond me but in reality expect to only average 55-60 mph which puts actual driving time somewhere around 38 hours or 3 full days. If costs is NOT a factor you might want to look into renting an RV, they are expensive on gas but saves the hotel bills consider 8 people requires 2 rooms by state laws. You can then look at camping out at Fort Wilderness saving on lodging here. Otherwise its 8 people cramped in a van for 6 days on a vacation. Wish you luck with it.
