About How soon to I have to book Mears travel services in Orlando

How soon to I have to book Mears travel services in Orlando?
I'm going to Orlando next week, and would like to book their attraction-to-attraction shuttle service. Can I just call when I get to Orlando and book a few days in advance? Or do they need more notice? Thanks!

Answer 1 :
That depends upon what sorts of things you find interesting. For example, if you're driving down I-75, you could stop at any of these places: Wapakoneta, Ohio- The Neil Armstrong Museum honors the first man to walk on the Moon. Chattanooga, Tennessee- The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, Lookout Mountain, the Tennessee Aquarium. Atlanta, Georgia- Stone Mountain, the World of Coca-Cola. These are just a few possibilities.

About What water park would you recommend for vacation travel in Orlando

What water park would you recommend for vacation travel in Orlando?
I think Sea World is partly a water park, but what about Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard beach.

Answer 1 :
your ugly face you'll love it but know one else does
Answer 2 :
sea world is more about just animals, i heard blizzard beach was fun, but i think islands of adventures is the best :]
Answer 3 :
SeaWorld's water park, Aquatica, is a separate park from the SeaWorld park right next door to it. It's nice, but nothing that unique about it from other water parks besides their main water slide that goes through a dolphin tank. I'd go with the Disney water parks. They're the best in the world and are pretty much the only water parks around that actually go beyond just buying several water slides and just throwing them all together in one spot. No one can beat Disney when it comes to presentation. It can't be done.
Answer 4 :
Wet n Wild. I've been to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard beach. Wet n Wild is the best waterpark I've ever been to check it out.
Answer 5 :
Blizard Beach is best.

About What is the best way to travel to Orlando from AZ, not including by plane

What is the best way to travel to Orlando from AZ, not including by plane...?
We have a family of 8 people and we are wanting to go to Orlando Florida to visit Disneyworld etc...and I need to know what is the best way to go that is not by plane?? LOL I know it's alot to ask but we will not fly. Does anyone know how long of a drive that would possibly be? Thanks in advance for your answers!
Orlando - 10 Answers

Answer 1 :
It would probably take 2 to 3 days to drive. Depending on how often you stop and if you drive through the night or not. I know that it takes 23 hours to make the drive from Rhode Island...and when my sister and her husband moved from RI to New Mexico it took them 3 days - with stops along the way. For a more definate answer mapquest it out.
Answer 2 :
thinking, is the best way to travel
Answer 3 :
Total Est. Time: 32 hours, 48 minutes Total Est. Distance: 2247.64 miles But that's not stopping :P I typed it into mapquest, heres the link: http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&un=m&cl=EN&ct=NA&rsres=1&1ffi=&1l=&1g=&1pl=&1v=&1n=&2ffi=&2l=&2g=&2pl=&2v=&2n=&1pn=&1a=&1c=&1s=az&1z=&2pn=&2a=&2c=orlando&2s=fl&2z=&r=f
Answer 4 :
If someone has a big van you could drive it comfortably in three days. You might even be able to see some of the sites along the way. You can rent a van also. One set rate with no mileage. Talk to Avis. I have done this a couple of times. There is also the train. It's not faster and it is more expensive, but it's an easier trip than doing all the driving and being shut in together in a van for hours at a time. It would be good to get sleepers. It's hard to sleep sitting up on the train. What ever you decide, the trip is worth it. I was there last Jan. and had a wonderful time. Hope you do too.
Answer 5 :
Your options are limited. Driving would be the best choice to avoid flying. Depending on what you plan to do on the road and would you want to visit other cities along the way, the driving trip can take a week or more. I have driven from California to Florida and from California to NYC. Both times took almost 5 days and I drove about 14 to16 hours per day stopping for lunch, dinner, and pit stops only The other option is by train. I understand it's a lot of fun too. You can make a couple of stops and visit some cities along the way before reaching Orlando. Have fun
Answer 6 :
Driving would be most cost effective but by train may be a bit more relaxing and more entertaining!
Answer 7 :
Unfortunately, the train is not a realistic option right now. There used to be a train that ran from Tucson to Orlando which would have been convenient, but the service from New Orleans on to Orlando is no longer running due to damage to the line during the hurricane. The train route from Tucson to Orlando now requires a couple of train changes and takes you through Chicago and Washington. It's takes longer than driving. You could take the bus for $99 per person or less. The travel time from Phoenix to Orlando would be 1d, 21h, 55m to a little over two days depending on the specific time you leave. See: http://www.greyhound.com/home.asp to check specific schedules and rates from any location in Arizona. Personally, given that flying isn't an option I would drive if there was enough time. The bus would be better if you have a limited time for the total trip.
Answer 8 :
Get on i10 and keep driving
Answer 9 :
You are about 32 - 33 hours away. You can either drive down, look in to a the Greyhound bus or look into the trains. Good luck
Answer 10 :
Not knowing where in AZ you are starting from but taking Phoenix as a starting point you are looking at close to 2300 miles. Where map quest gets there driving times is beyond me but in reality expect to only average 55-60 mph which puts actual driving time somewhere around 38 hours or 3 full days. If costs is NOT a factor you might want to look into renting an RV, they are expensive on gas but saves the hotel bills consider 8 people requires 2 rooms by state laws. You can then look at camping out at Fort Wilderness saving on lodging here. Otherwise its 8 people cramped in a van for 6 days on a vacation. Wish you luck with it.

About What's the best travel route from Louisville KY to Orlando FL

What's the best travel route from Louisville KY to Orlando FL?
We're taking a family vacation to Orlando, and will be first driving to Louisville to meet some friends. Then on to Orlando. I can get to Louisville with no problem, but I'm looking for any tips for the trip from Louisville to Orlando. FYI, it's about 13 hours according to google maps, and we could make the drive in a single day or spread it over two days. Doesn't matter to us. We've been to Disney World before, so I don't need any Disney tips. Just looking for tips on the travel route. Thanks!

Go to http://www.mapquest.com Type in your start point and destination and it will give you options like shortest time, shortest distance, avoiding highways, avoiding tolls. You can also reverse the route for back home directions and add a stop for directions! I mapquest everything! They also have detailed maps that you can print out! Have a safe trip!

Answer 4 :
Mapquest lies. It's almost 900 miles and will take you closer to 18 hrs, and probably longer. 18 hrs is a 50 MPH average, which with stops is about what you can expect realistically, especially if traveling with kids. Also because of the FL toll roads and booths, you will be slowed down more. It's over 50 miles of them, with a toll both about every 5 miles, seems like. We went during Christmas break and with all the traffic it took us 5 hrs to make the last 50 miles. I'd definately split it up, because by the time you get to that last 50 miles there is no place to stop and you are committed. After 12 or 13 hrs of driving, it suxs to have to stick with it for at least 5 more hours (we literally had to let the kids out on the side of the swamps to go potty). We were only going 600 miles and it took us 18 hrs to get there. Plan ahead and stay somewhere the night before, making the last 250-300 miles on the 2nd day.I'd try to stay in or around Valdosta, if I were you. From Louisville, take 65 south toward Nashville. Then pick up 24 East to Chatanooga. Stay 24 east till Georgia, then take 75 south for about 500 miles. Then onto FLORIDA'S TURNPIKE south via EXIT 328 toward ORLANDO (This is where the tolls start). Take the SR-408 TOLL E exit- EXIT 265- toward ORLANDO / TITUSVILLE. Then merge onto FL-408 E / EAST-WEST EXPY (more toll). Not hard, just a long drive. And have a boat load of change and small bills for the tolls (exact change is faster since some booths have change drops). Watch out for "Express Tag only" lanes. They can fine you if you go through it without a toll tag. One jerky booth attendent made us U-turn and go into the cash only lane because no one would let us over there in time, and we were forced into the tag lane by traffic. Think it was like $18 in tolls for us, if I remember correctly.
Answer 5 :
You're right, it's close to 13 hours from Louisville to Orlando. My map program says 13 hours & 45 Minutes to cover the 860 miles. That doesn't include any pit stops or sightseeing. I'd take my time and make a 2 day trip out of it. There's an awful lot to see between the 2 towns. Theres Nashville and Chattanooga in Tennessee. Then you hit Georgia, my favorite place to visit is the air force museum in Warner Robins. They have a SR-71 Blackbird spy plane on display there, along with many other planes seldom seen by civilians. Stopping for the night between Louisville and Macon, then doing the museum before traveling to O rlando would make a good 2 day drive. I-75 once you get out of Chattanooga to Floridas Turnpike is your best route. You'll have to stop and pay a toll shortly after you get on the turnpike and that could be your last. When you get to Florida SR 50 there is a free get-off at Exit 267. Then you can drive into Orlando on SR 50. Or, just stay on the turnpike to I-4 and another $0.50 toll. You won't need to use the East/West toll road to get to Orlando. That road is a local pay as you go road. The toll booths will drive you nuts. Your destination in the Orlando area will determine where you need to exit the turnpike. If you're going to the US192 area of Kissimmee, you can exit the turnpike near Exit 289 and take US 27 South to US 192 and save over a dollar in tolls. The distance won't be too much different since the turnpike parallels US 27 for some distance Good luck, drive safe

What is the cheapest way to travel from NYC to Orlando?
I am planing to visit a friend in Orlando,FL. The problem is, I never learned how to book flight, train or bus tickets. (First time traveling alone.) I plan on departing NYC on May 31st and returning on June 3rd. I am also trying to find the cheapest hotel to stay for all those nights. Does anyone have any tips, ideas, or websites they recommend? Thank You!~

Answer 1 :
Cheapest way would be hitchhiking. Next is probably the bus, but you have too little time for that. You only have four days and at least two of them would be on the bloody bus. If you have no knowledge at all, I would suggest you visit a travel agent.
Answer 2 :
I'd recommend trying either dohop.com or kayak.com. Search there for flights and hotels, and book them. Should be fairly simple.

I just booked a trip to Disney through Magical Journeys today. Our agent Karen was amazing and very prompt. I'm sure they can fix you up with a great deal. http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/

You can go anytime! Just use one of the websites that offer hotel accommodation and you will be ready! I have already found the best deals for hotel accommodation in Orland in a website that is a book now and pay on arrival system! I juts make the booking in advance so that I can secure the room and pay for it as soon as I arrive in the hotel. They arranged almost everything around the trip for me and the only thing I have to do is to enjoy the Harry Potter Theme Park! What's more the price they gave was quite reasonable as for me and lower than the hotel rates in Orlando! I will give you the link so that you can have a look and make your decision! http://www.hitrooms.com/en/United_States_of_America/Orlando.htm I am already impatient to go there! Good luck!

I am going to orlando on holiday but may need to visit someone in tampa general hospital. what is the best way to get there using public transport?
Orlando - 3 Answers

Answer 1 :
Sadly, Florida has no major public transit. To get from Orlando to Tampa General (TGH) you are going to need to travel west on I 4 from Orlando about 80 miles. You could take a cab, but that would be horrible expensive. You could catch a Gray Hound bus in down town Orlando and it would drop you off in Tampa at the down town terminal. From there you could catch a cab in Tampa to TGH (probably only 3 or 4 miles from the terminal). Hope this helps you out.
Answer 2 :
Perhaps Gray Hound....but that's it.....you may rent a car.....be the best way. Do you know its a 2 or 3 hour drive...Depending on traffic.
Answer 3 :
Rent a car - I 4 all the way, west! 2 hours drive, each way! Greyhound bus , lots of stops...not recommended.

Whats the cheapest way to travel between Orlando airport, Disney World and Port Canaveral?
We are planning our honeymoon for March 2011 and are going on a Carnival Cruise leaving from Port Canaveral, FL. We would like to spend a few days before in Disney World. Any suggestions on where to stay before the cruise and a way to get from Orlando airport to Disney World and then to Port Canaveral for the cruise?

Answer 1 :
Hey, A great place to stay for a moderate price is the Caribbean Beach resort or the Port Orleans French Quarter, they are both beautiful resorts, perfect for a honeymoon, however if you are looking for a more expensive resort, definitely go to the Animal Kingdom Resort, anyway check them all out on Disney's website http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/ If you stay in a disney resort or fly with virgin, a coach will pick you up from Orlando airport and take you to your hotel. Im sorry i don't know anything about Port Canaveral, but the Disney staff would be very helpful by ringing a taxi service for you? Have fun.

Answer 1 :
Both locations are in the US why would you need a passport? Your geography teacher would be so proud.
Answer 2 :
Are you a US citizen? All you need is government-issued ID (i.e. driver's license); no need for a birth certificate.
Answer 3 :
If you are a US citizen you just need a Drivers License or State ID. You only need a passport if you are leaving the country and that inculed Canada and Mexico.
Answer 4 :
You won't need a passport since you're not leaving the country. In order to board a plane for a domestic flight, all you have to do is pass through security and show a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license) that matches the name on your plane ticket. However, you can still use your passport, if you wish, as this counts as a government-issued photo ID. It's completely your choice whether or not you want to take your passport! However, if you are flying internationally, then yes, you are required to take your passport.
Answer 5 :
last time i remember both locations was in the united states so yeah no passport
Answer 6 :
If you are a US citizen, you may travel with just your ID. You do not need to have a birth certificate. If you are an alien resident, it is good practice to travel with your alien registration card and some other form of identification, i.e. passport, state issued ID, etc. If you are leaving the US, it is good to always carry your passport, even if it is not required for your destination. You may need it in an emergency if you have to land or portcall somewhere other than your intended destination.
Answer 7 :
If you are US citizen, I think you do not need a passport. For ID, I think you should bring it everywhere you go.
